If I were to live in America, I'd probably live in Montana, Wyoming or maybe South Dakota. I'd like a large plot of land. A ranch, perhaps. My next door neighbours are a few miles away. Hunting & open carry are legal.
Not that I would ever leave Switzerland.

@lo Not Coloradoš? My neighbors are cool, but about 1/4 mile away. My "ranch" is under 20 acres though, but good enough for me. I accidentally trespassed while on a hike this weekend onto another ranch and it was like Rivendell. You have to be born into that, because no one will ever sell it.
