i think i'm becoming cynical about software engineering not out of anything inherent to computers but mostly because any attempt to engineer things carefully and correctly is smothered in its crib by capitalist market forces
@dankwraith Free market capitalism will produce whatever is desired. The real issue is demand. My guess is that companies and consumers can’t see and accurately count the cost of crappy products.
