Jimi Hendrix is almost always regarded as the greatest guitarist of all time. But his fretting hand technique is cringe inducing! He does everything I was told not to do. His thumb reaches so far over he could fret the Bb string.

@Sophistifunk The point I'm trying to make is technique, or even skill for that matter, does not make you "good". Just look at Bod Dylan or Kurt Cobain for example. Dylan probably has the worst singing voice of all time.
