Anybody under 50 who thinks they'll ever see a dime of social security has been drinking the bong water.
Social security is going to disappear, and it won't be because one party or another votes to end it. Rather, because it's a pyramid scheme, and politicians can't keep their hands out of the cookie jar. The scheme must inevitably run out of money and collapse.
