Fedi-friends, I wanna buy a phone that runs Linux, but I don't want to deal with anything installation related, flashing microSD, flashing bios, whatever.

I would like to receive the phone with a Gnome-based shell already installed and ready. Are there ANY options on the market? If I could, I would absolutely buy a Fairphone 5 with postmarketOS today.

@lobau Librem 5 by Purism fits that description. I have one and it works pretty well.

@daniel does it feel slow? I looked at it, and while it checks all the boxes, it seems quite expensive for pretty old hardware. Are you daily-carrying it, or just using it to stay in the loop with development?

@lobau It is a bit sluggish and I don't carry it all the time. I bought it when it was a little cheaper. It was absolutely painless to set up.
