I have some VPN questions, and wanted to get some opinions.

1. Do you use a VPN?
2. If so, which one?
3. How is it installed (router, computer/phone, browser)?
4. Likes/dislikes/limitations with your VPN?
5. Do you think your VPN is actually the CIA/NSA routing data directly to their servers?

Here are my answers:

1. Yes.
2. SurfShark
3. Currently browser & phone only. When I bought the 2-year subscription I was on a Debian-based system, which is all that they support in the Linux world.
4. Likes: Very cheap $1.99/month. Fast. Good number of servers.
Dislikes: Needs better linux Support.
Limitations: Unlimited number of devices. 👍
5. The thought has crossed my mind. How do they make money at $1.99/month?

Love to hear your thoughts!

@Dividends4Life
1. Yes
2. OpenVPN
3. It runs on a VPS I run for $6/month. Linux support of course, as well as Windows. iPhone app works well too.
4. Sometimes the connection speed isn't the best.
5. Could be, but less likely than a commercial VPN
