Curent state of my terminal dashboard. Definitely still a work in progress but its useful and looks decent so far.
@daniel No hybrid general purpose terminal UI that I know of but I've wished for something like that as well. There are various TUI libraries that I think would be capable of being used to make something like that but nobody has done it that I know of. Kind of have to kludge something together yourself for now. There are quite a few options for images in the terminal. Sixel graphics are supported by some terminals and its the best image quality in the terminal I've come across.

@daniel Calendar could be a nice addition. Chat and email and stuff I'm purposely leaving out of the dashboard. I have it setup to be able to switch to another virtual desktop to do all that kind of stuff. The dashboard is meant for pertinent information and for me and my wife to control music and similar things.
