This week I had to say farewell to my beloved cat. His health had declined rapidly, and the veterinarian gently explained me that euthanasia was the only option left for him to have a serene death. He passed away Tuesday morning.

He was 3 months short of 17, we had been together for 16 years and a half. He was the first animal I cared for.
