i've found various kinds of these ballerina slippers

was this a trend?? a... slipper trend? i've never even considered the idea of slipper trends

have you ever wanted a pearl pin that looks like a fat elephant?

has anyone?

these gold chains that were like flat feel like a very 90s thing to me

also that lipstick color screams 90s

i just found my grandma's favorite earrings :blobcatsweat:

is... is this where she fucking bought them. from JC Penney in 1996. probably!

as extra bonus evidence, you can buy these earrings in a set of two pairs, and i am convinced she also has one of the other pairs.

i can imagine the entire person who would wear this "Hello Lord, It's Me Again" Precious Moments Watch

nintendo super mario world watch??? excuse me what is this?? i need to look this up later

disney bedroom

this is not in an explicitly "kid" section of the magazine so i'm assuming adults are 100% free to do this to their rooms too

oh no there's a girl version. oh no

i used to dream of having a themed bedroom like this

if you had a themed bedroom set ~just for christmas~ you might have been a rich kid

i would buy this sweater in a heartbeat if it was for adults.

as a side note, i am obsessed with the color scheme of cuteness in the late 80s and early 90s. there's something very particular about those shades of like... teal and pink. also, so many ruffles.

this is possibly the worst themed bedroom set i've ever seen. those checkers everywhere are so fucking busy. also, congrats, you now have the dupont logo on your bedding.

there are like 100 pages of nothing but sports team merch that i'm paging through please make it stop

literally what is this... some weird contraption for doing crosswords in the dark that comes with a Roll of Crosswords????

everything about this is so unnecessary???

these dogs look like they have seen terrible things

noooo, it's the frogs from that annoying commercial!!!! i already know whoever owns this probably regrets it. or owned this, because a lot of them probably got rid of this thing after like a few years

ah, here's all the section for all the china sets and stuff

i would absolutely not recognize these, since my family has been using the same corelle dish set since like 1975... it has olive green flowers on it

these would become pure nightmare fuel if you ever tried to burn them, wow

as a kid i loved running the satin edges of blankets like these between my toes. is that weird.

also, are these blankets just a 90s thing or do they still make them?

have you ever wanted your bed to just be.... moose

this is marketed to adults.....

you see that wall hanging in this picture? i want you to know they also have one that is just... lola bunny

my parents have a computer desk that looks like this and they still fucking use it for a modern day pc & printer!

maybe a hot take but i've always hated those sliding keyboard trays, i feel like they always break and wind up weird.

this thing is fascinating. it looks like an electric typewriter with some built in software you can use by hooking up a mouse & monitor?? i need to know more. what a cool hybrid.

aaaaa, i used to lust over these lil organizer thingies

sky dancers!!! i had some of these and i loved them! i think they were eventually recalled for like taking kids eyes out with their wings or something.

god the nostalgia hit of seeing these

the pain of cramming your feet into these plastic crappy shoes for ~dress-up~

i didn't have these exact ones, but i had something similar, and my feet were always too wide for them. oops.

have fun by pretending to spend money!

in case you're wondering if this came with like, pretend products to buy or anything, no! it is just credit cards and a thing to swipe them with! wtf

definitely had something very similar to this as a kid- a whole load of fake plastic play food

i also had this, i used to record stupid shit on it

you're probably getting an idea by now of how old i actually was when this catalog came out

lol i didn't know these existed. gyronauts, aka sky dancers For Boys

this copy is killing me, i think whoever wrote it did not really like jabba the hutt

ah yes, the video game section. the snes and the sega genesis, probably the first generation of the many video game consoles i was not allowed to have. 😑

toy chunky cell phone, toy pager, and best of all, a toy fax machine. just what every kid wants to play- pretend fax
