Industrial farming is a disaster! There are endless runoff problems and shipping food halfway around the world wastes huge amounts of energy. Will politicians:

a) encourage people to grow their own food so less chemical fertilizer is required and less energy is wasted

b) try to cram everyone in pods and feed them ground up mealworms
@daniel fixing industrial agriculture will be a multigenerational effort, unfortunately
@deprecated_ii @daniel And it's going to come at the expense of billions of lives that only exist because of these wildly unsustainable practices.

@TurboNormie @deprecated_ii It could, hopefully not. People have become very separated from their food production for the most part though. I really like Mark Shepard’s approach to solving things. He probably gets 1/2 of the production on his farm compared to the industry, but only puts in a 10th of the inputs. He makes money and has shown others a better way.
