Ive started exploring the Urbit network. I am very interested in the fact that they seem to have genuinely created a decentralized DNS system that can actually work, and provide a viable alternative to the current internet paradigm of IP addresses and domain names.
I am only a couple days in, but what already bothers me, and I am just being honest here, is that the current Urbit community seems to be majority populated by crypto bros and javascript bros. And I see evidence of them already pushing it in directions which will undermine its smol, decentralized potential.
Urbit needs an influx of smol developers.

@atyh I'm not sure what I was expecting with Starlink, but they could do a lot of interesting things to promote freedom inside their network while still connecting to the internet. Why couldn't they have their own "space" domain system and extend that to the moon and beyond? Throw out the restrictions like hosting from a modem that we have on land.
