During filming of the United Artists adventure film "The Vikings" KIRK DOUGLAS told Director RICHARD
FLEISCHER that no stunt men were needed and he could do the oar walking scenes. Without any practice, they rolled film and not only did he succeed the first time.. He flawlessly did so several times.
