Alrighty, we finally got the new shed that we desperately needed in the back yard. It is pre-wired for electrical but I don't plan on having power run to it. What I want to do is put up a solar panel. I'm thinking maybe get a 12V DC light bulb and just connect the solar panel to the existing wiring. Any reason that wouldn't work?

@kelbot Get one of these and a USB light. You'll be able to charge little battery banks/phones if need be.
