Next year (in the year 2026) I will have been using Linux for 30 years!

I first started using Linux in the year 1996.

I was both an IRIX and Solaris user before I was a Linux user.

Which is part of what attracted me to Linux — Linux was a Unix (like thing) I could run at home!

Another thing that attracted me to Linux was — I liked that I could see read the Linux source-code.

Around that time I was learning how operating-systems worked from a computer-programming point0of-view

@reiver Stories like these are great because many people seem to have this notion that technically minded folks are born knowing everything. They miss seeing the long journey of learning and discovery that knowledge takes and also the fulfillment it can bring!
