Today I learned that the entire original Roots miniseries is available on archive.org
I read the book when I was about 13 and as a rural kid from outside the US, it shaped my view of race and it still does.

@chantaryu2 Probably better to view it as historical fiction. Haley plagiarized and dramatized a lot of it. A lot of the horrors were real though.
