A long standing question: how can I host my videos, shareable?

Short bg of today's trigger: I wanted to ask for a Blender modelling trick in a forum, captured a video of my situation, but uploads there are not allowed: direct links are needed (a fairly common situation). So where do I upload it?

Youtube / Imgur? No, thanks.

Nextcloud does not give real direct links, just access to its own player - this does not work nice with most forums.

I tried self-hosting PeerTube several years ago, but for my purposes it sucks: you are expected to act as public content creator and face beurocratic labour on descriptive tables on each upload, also waiting for needless multiresolution processing. And later it broke badly on casual update, leaving all my video filenames hashed and barely recoverable.. I got really pissed about that. Not looking that direction anymore.

Everyone loves Jellyfin, and I was almost up to trying it - but apparently, it cannot give direct links either. Also, everyone uses it for watching tv series, which I give zero fucks about. Thumbnail generation and DB lookup does not hurt, but absolute majority of content I'm keeping is my own, or non-commercial, or rare old stuff. I guess, a wannabe-netflix-clone may not be optimal, even if workable.

So.. maybe you know any tools/approaches that could be useful here?
