Had some American fast food for the first time in a week or maybe two, and I feel horrible.

Something is seriously wrong when a moderately-sized meal is upwards of a thousand calories, and so high in fat. Egad. I feel like I just guzzled a bottle of oil.

I know, I know, no revelation there. Duh.

I wish we had healthier fast food options like there is in Asia. I mean, there's Subway, I guess, but bleh. So overpriced for what you get.

@rl_dane I went to Panda Express an couple of weeks ago and decided to count the calories. With water it was at least 1400, probably more since they loaded the plate so full. For most of human history that would be good I guess. That’s about what I’m aiming for for a whole day currently.

@daniel

Yeah, Panda Express isn't a whole lot healthier than Wendy's XD

1400 a day? For a dude? That's pretty slim. I remember trying 1200 a day over 20 years ago, and I was pretty light-headed. XD

@rl_dane I’ve been consuming a surplus for the past 3 months, need to go into a deficit for a bit. 1400 of real food, like roasted veggies, without all the oil, is actually pretty filling.

@daniel

This is true! I was probably way too heavy on simple carbs when I tried 1200 all those years ago.
