@christopher @thomas Please keep in mind that #Purism only earns one time money from the purchase. They are not harvesting your private information to sell it.
A lot of work goes into development, als of free and open source software (FOSS). With a purchase you would support all of this.

Good point. And it is the reason it is high on the list to becoming my next phone.

@christopher @janvlug @thomas I enjoy using my Librem 5 and I’m tempted to get another one for family. There really isn’t a better alternative to Apple or Android and most people need to understand that they are leading society down some dystopian paths. It’s far from perfect, but Librem 5 can get you by.

Dude! I did not realize you were using the Librem 5. Is it your main phone?

@christopher I have a work phone that a use a bit too, but I do use the Librem pretty often. I keep saying that I’m going to put a SIM card in it, but haven’t had the need yet. I use SIP for calls, XMPP for texts, Tootle for ActivityPub stuff, FoxtrotGPS for maps.
