@lady19 That's the thing, people do think fine is good enough, but a constant aim to be better every day is required for true prosperity. I hear about people talking about "progress", but usually they mean stealing from one to give to another. The progress we should be striving for is rooting out all corruption, theft, and partiality in public servants(government). Increasing efficiency in how taxes are spent would go a long way too. We can make things better, but we have to give a damn.

My grandmother is such a Hobbit! She's had to be quarantined to her quarters, because several of her caretakers came down with Covid, and she has been getting healthier in almost every measurable way. She likes friends, but lived alone for 17 years. Such a strong independent woman!

How are y'all doing? I'm feeling a little down right now, mostly because a lot of people seem to be being very ugly to one another. There is no grace, understanding, or wisdom to be found in their speech. I urge you to be better than that! Don't live in an echo chamber and don't believe everything you read. Be quick to listen, slow to anger, and slow to speak. Even though we are all pretty much strangers don't we all want to live a life of freedom, in peace, with the love of others?
