@reverenddaeyunkimphd Welcome! It looks like you have had a very busy and fulfilling life so far. What are you doing these days? Are you a Reverend for a congregation?
@blueberry I didn't cheat but it took some time to realize the Dakotas were missing.
The problem I have with these companies is that they go out of their way to abuse their users/customers. That IS their business and I don't want to feed that bear. Imagine a company that went out of their way to prevent abuse, educate users, allow real choice, all the while improving lives. Come on companies like Purism, TAKE MY MONEY! @dallin@librem.one
@kelbot I'm a surveyor, and using the equipment we have now, robots, drones, scanners, etc...I can in some cases do more in a day than a party of 4 could accomplish in weeks 20 years ago. It truly is amazing, and a little scary.
@normandc Sorry to hear that. A lot of vets around here use guilt tactics to try to get people to spend exorbitant amounts of money on their pets, with surgeries and whatnot . I hope you got a good one who doesn't play those games.
@lo This makes more sense now.

@Johanna Is it an issue of the congregation not coming together or is the leadership making the decision?
I read some Of Plimoth Plantation, by William Bradford around Thanksgiving time every year. For those who don't know, it is a firsthand account of the people we know as the Pilgrims in the US who landed 400 years ago. I usually read about their first year 1620 in book 2, but this time branched out to 1623. Here is an excerpt.

Basically, communism didn't work; even for these hardcore moral people. Private property turned failure to success. Nothing new under the sun.
@normandc You're making me think that a netbook with a cell card+SIP trunk+Bluetooth and bag might be more functional. SD cards just suck. Hope your persistence pays off and that my Librem 5 works without too much brain damage, IF it shows up.
@ZGoldenReport Police officers need to pick the right side when it comes to enforcing these unjust laws. I know of several good officers who have recently quit because of this nonsense. They knew that if they kept this up, they, and their families, wouldn't be accepted in their own communities. Costco can do what they want, but public streets and private residences are way out of line. I wish this could change before a governor gets shot or a precinct gets wiped out...not holding my breath.
