@ShanHB My heart breaks for your loss. Both for your husband and for your dreams of a future together. Hold onto God tightly and He will deliver you out of this storm. You are not alone. God has written us a future and it is sweeter than we can know.
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life."
@stevelord I like how you staggered them. 2 quarts of broccoli sprouts on my first try was tough to get through before they spoiled.
@lo The ones that care know. Most don't care. Dirty clothes was a good analogy. Corruption of clothes and people is just natural and has to be expected and regularly dealt with. A lot of people believe and trust in the goodness of people despite all of the evidence to the contrary.
@MaryMamuzich Looks delicious!
@lo I'm not sure why, but we had a copy in my elementary school library.
@lo Haha, well at least people have a lot of choice here. How did you come across the Fediverse? Most folks are fairly into computers if they run their own instance. I always figured you as more of a car person, though they're not mutually exclusive.
@lo Did you trigger someone?
@pluralistic That is nice looking.
@lo Whoa. Glad they got out.
@kelbot Nice addition!
@pixouls There are other free email providers, but you get what you pay for. If you found 5 other folks to chip in that's only 1$/month for email, some storage, and a website if you want that. Best solution I know.
@pixouls Honestly, if you care about privacy and not being dependent on these companies, you are going to have to spend some money to have your own services. Their "Free" services are why we are in this mess. I would recommend using a hosting service(like inmotionhosting.com) at first since they do a lot of the leg work for you. They have plans starting at $6/month with 10 email addresses and 50GB storage. You could split the cost between a few folks even.
@MisterRogersSnapped I've avoided downtown Denver for over a year, but had to go back to an area that I've done a lot of work in last week. It was bad before, but now I had to ask myself what country I was in. Tents, drug addicts, needles, and lots of human feces everywhere. That was all there before, but it was like a 400% increase. It was a nice area once upon a time in living memory.
@garritfra @oppen Nice! You ever watch Alone in the Wilderness with Dick Proenneke? Check it out if you haven't.
@lo That is nuts and looks pretty fun!
Shout-out(again) to @Gargron, the ActivityPub devs, and @eurasierboy for making my journey in the Fediverse possible! I know these tools don't just make themselves.
