You know I really enjoy #solarpunk, right? I'm super excited to now be in contact with @asca__com@twitter.com and can work with their flexible solar modules. So far I received some samples and OMG! Check out how cool they look!

@atyh Jay Leno puts a lot of love into preserving and explaining some of the old steam cars. Check out some of his videos if you haven’t.

@anomis66 That is sad. I was fortunate to sit down for a meal with her a few years ago. She talked about her early career with Duke Ellington and some of the risqué stuff and was generally a nice person.

Installed an XMPP server. Basically it is a pretty established and prominent open protocol for messaging. Most of the tech giants used to use it before abandoning it and walling off their users into their own realms. There was a time not too long ago when messaging apps could all talk together, but progress right? How we communicate is a choice. Why leave something as fundamental and important in the hands of corporations that don’t represent our interests? Reach out if you want to know more.

@atyh @jordan31@theres.life I would like to jump into Gemini a little more. I’m not sure I understand any advantages it has to http with simple static html though. I think a lot of people could do what I did above with paper or whatever and not have to wade through learning CSS or JavaScript. Image maps in html don’t work very well anymore and it’s nice to make them any shape. Will try this out with some youngsters in the family.

I thought I'd try a new spin(at least to me) on site design that focused on SVG's. This was fun, quick, and I daresay practical. It's a little chunky, but it could be trimmed down with a little effort.

I've been grabbing weather data every few minutes in my area since early 2021. I've been meaning to do something interesting with it and the text file is over 16MB at this point. Maybe next week...

I know it looks like it was filmed with a potato, but I ran across this old video of my father-in-law and his siblings. Since they all happened to be in town together, they closed our worship service with a song from their childhood church. @Russ
