On the subject of TV series...why do all of the "dramas" have to be so dramatic? Why can't there be just relaxing episodes where nothing stressful happens? Maybe the characters teach something, like a YouTube channel, but based in the show's setting. Once viewers fall in love with a show and its characters, there are so many places they might follow them.

I've been going through The Long Earth series lately. I'm enjoying it and feels like old sci-fi, but it does seem as though it's lacking something. The premise is so excellent and a little bit of James S. A. Corey's character development might round it out. It's the kind of story that might work really well(maybe better) as a TV series.

The pizza arrived and Heidi just said, “Dear God, thank you for the food, amen.”
First time I’ve ever heard her pray!

@GettingCooked@noagendasocial.com They we’re dressed as little kids this episode, so that was weird. Bob’s hair is not white.

At the local pizza joint and they’ve got 1985 Price is Right playing.

Over the past few decades, more than 2,000 newspapers across the country have closed, leaving many communities without a reliable source of local information. Researchers say this crisis in journalism, driven by changes in technology, is fueling the country's political divisions. Judy Woodruff visited a Texas community that recently lost its newspaper for her series, America at a Crossroads.

Crazy weather this year. Had several storms where I felt the need to look outside to make sure we weren't going to get leveled by a tornado.

One of the best things that we can do for our mind is exercise, and one of the best things that we can do for our body is think.

Well that's the last glass table we're getting. It shattered sometime during a storm this afternoon (probably hail) and a bunch of small potted plants fell through too. Now if only we can keep the dogs from running through the mess...

I've been reflecting on Pslam 103 for over a week. Not constantly mind you, but I have read it a few times. It's a pretty foundational and profound piece of scripture.

I saw this advert from 1956 on Instagram and can’t work out how a fridge from nearly 70 years ago basically has better features than the fridge I own now.

@mcc Physical media is wonderful and if you haven’t looked into owning and running a NAS, I recommend it. If your goal is to access your media whenever, wherever you want, it is the most future proof solution currently. What incentive is there for people to make Blu-ray players if no one makes Blu-ray disks anymore? It amazes me how most people hand off the curation and preservation of our history to entities who are only focused on a bottom line.
