@Asianking@dingdash.com Our church felt the same way and rented spaces for ~30 years. Having large groups at houses, even if there is plenty of room (100 acres), gets shut down by the government. Real estate prices soared here and eventually we decided to buy and renovate an old church 5 years ago. You would cry if I told you what our mortgage cost. Now we can't really utilize our building because of Covid19.

@Cherishingsparrows2020 My company had to lay off 10% of its employees today. I was not one of them, but thank you for reminding me of the relief I have from trusting in Yahweh; even in small short term things.

@brainblasted Just like the Tortoise and the Hare, devices based on the principles of freedom will overtake the devices based on the principles of slavery. Things based on a good foundation stand the test of time and take time. Things that are shortsighted and rushed get forgotten about. Big tech knows this and that is why they fight tooth and nail to retain users, even at the cost of selling them. They don't stand a chance of winning, unless we let them.

@danielgray@dingdash.com I would say that the Bible is silent on these things and that we must use wisdom to discern if they are profitable depending on the situation. Generally though, I would say that it is good advice. God gives us a lot of freedom and it is a dangerous thing to proclaim "Thus saith the Lord" if He didn't.

I've got dreams guys! Would love to break ground on our house this year, but time is flying by. I've done much larger projects, but not with my own $. It is a bit scary.
