@mrman Beirut?
@atyh That and the blanketing of codes over common sense. Must have ~$20k for septic installation, but 100 cows just crapping on top of it A-OK!
My fairly new desktop keeps cutting off, not sure what's up. It's not overheating. Scrolling through a specific video file will do it. Trying to zfs send/receive to a USB flash drive did it a couple of times. Happened while booted on a live disk too. A couple times seemingly randomly. Weird that another desktop died this week too. I don't think Heidi's been pouring chocolate milk in my cases...
Merry Christmas!

@atyh Amen. When things like that come up, don't be shy about asking for prayer. I, and a lot of others, naturally want to do what we can. Is there anything we can do that has more potential than prayer? So glad he's home and yes, miracles are real.
Turned some pan-grilled redfish, crab, dirty rice, with brown butter wine sauce into the best nachos when @mary brought some chips and queso home!
@brisling I’m on book 3 right now.
@mrman Ugh, that's what I forgot at the store.
@atyh Something like that seems like the best way to avoid spam and make it sustainable. I can't imagine that the cost/user would be any more for a nostril server.
Just used nostr with nostr console and it was quite nice. Feels a lot like Usenet. The lightness of the protocol makes it pretty powerful, though I wonder how spam will play out. I don't really see the same benefits of running a relay like I do with a Mastodon instance. I kinda like the ownership aspect. Other than altruistic reasons, what motivation would someone have to pay for a nostr relay that everyone else takes advantage of?
@atyh idk
@fuzzi The first items look like quick release pins and the latter look like water spigot keys.
