@LibrarianRA Ha, that white building on the left used to be my office when I was working on a new building across the street. It had a bar in the basement that was just an elevator button away after work.

We had a good family trip out to California before school starts back.

@reiver I’m pretty sure it leans heavily on ffmpeg and I’ll bet he used OBS as well.

@johannab @atomicpoet I don’t think the internet will exist as we know it by 2040. When you don’t own the infrastructure, everything else becomes secondary.

@YoSoyFreeman I’m probably slightly autistic, and I don’t know about disgust, but there are lots of things that don’t affect me which women find cute and adorable. I’ve always just chalked it up to them being wired differently for the purposes of motherhood. I doubt it’s purely an autistic thing.

@Catvalente A few of the characters in the Long Earth series, that he was probably working on at the time, had the surname Valienté.

@HiroProtagonist I started going through The Long Earth series again. It’s definitely not super heavy, but a fun read. If I was wealthy enough, I would try to buy the rights for the world(s) that they built alone.

Everyone seems to know about this place except Americans because a crazy game show was hosted there for decades. We just watched an episode and it was intense!
