There will always be one or another joke/statement that is a bit odd, but usually it's not meant to cause harm and it'll work out. The hardest part is done, you introduced him, from now on, it's only going forward! :)

So suddenly there’s a lot of attention around email and it’s exposing how many people in the web community still use Gmail. Like actually trust all your personal information and communication (and that of your potentially marginalised or vulnerable contacts) with Google. 🤮
There are a lot of hard problems and lack of alternatives when it comes to rights-respecting technology. But email (as imperfect as it is) has a fair few affordable alternative providers. Small change, big difference.

My grandmother is such a Hobbit! She's had to be quarantined to her quarters, because several of her caretakers came down with Covid, and she has been getting healthier in almost every measurable way. She likes friends, but lived alone for 17 years. Such a strong independent woman!
How are y'all doing? I'm feeling a little down right now, mostly because a lot of people seem to be being very ugly to one another. There is no grace, understanding, or wisdom to be found in their speech. I urge you to be better than that! Don't live in an echo chamber and don't believe everything you read. Be quick to listen, slow to anger, and slow to speak. Even though we are all pretty much strangers don't we all want to live a life of freedom, in peace, with the love of others?

A friend's daughter was attacked today by a group of protesters in Denver. She was in her work truck just trying to go to work. Anyone who actually cared about justice or others wouldn't do something like that. #georgefloyd
