@mary and I watched Jamie’s £1 Wonders last week and enjoyed it. I only think there's one episode out, but apparently there are a lot of folks who felt rubbed the wrong way by the show. The guy is just showing people how to make cheap and healthy meals, is there something I'm missing?
@Cherishingsparrows2020 @MaryMamuzich Thought I’d post and update. This is Paco, on the left, getting a souvenir and a little bonus on his 20th anniversary with my company. He’s recovering well and is on light duty for another month or so. Pretty amazing after breaking both his scapulae and suffering internal damage in the crush. Thank you for your prayers!
Worker bees and queen bees share identical DNA. Workers live a couple weeks, but queens live a couple years. The only difference between the two is how their genes are expressed and it's because of diet. Even if you have a lot of family history of disease, diet and lifestyle are huge and you can control those. Eat your veggies!
You folks remember the rotary un-smart phone? Justine Haupt is behind them and other cool projects and runs https://skysedge.com
Justine has been absolutely amazing with her persistence and transparency while trying to fulfill orders. I think she might actually be killing herself with the stress of increasing red tape etc. It is inspiring to see someone with so much integrity, but I worry for her.
I enjoy watching Clarkson's Farm. He could have just retired and relaxed, but instead decided to jump into something brand new to him. It seems pretty obvious that he just wants to create something good and pleasing to himself and share the journey with others. I have a hard time understanding the haters' point of view. He employs a lot of people, raises environmental awareness, tries to make a profit, and makes it entertaining. Endless bureaucracy. I wish I could say the USA was better.
I'm not super excited about first person shooters, or gaming in general, but I had a fun thought. We could have something like a LAN party after work, (beer and pizza) with all of the levels being different buildings we've built in the past. We already have most of the models, but they're in Autodesk formats. I remember pulling some stuff into OpenSimulator once, but something like Red Eclipse would be better. Anyone done anything like this?
