Dusted off a concrete form system that I engineered back in 2008. It is much cheaper than the system I am using on my house, but no one wants to give planning approval/lend money for things that are unconventional. Makes me sad. I look at all of the crazy stuff built in the 70's and 80's and wonder if we will ever get back to such a creatively bold time. I might be able to sneak this into a barn or stables.

@rose_myrtle Companies should put a human face on their work. I almost always can gauge a company's stability and ability to deliver based on the attitude of its employees. They don't need to post all the time, maybe have some Q&A, some customer reviews, and maybe a poll from time to time. Less is more.

no matter how many technologies you are familiar/proficient with there will always be a longer list of technologies for which you have little to no familiarity or proficiency.

it is this second list whose members will jump out at you most when looking through job descriptions.

don't let the second list intimidate you. every skill in the list of things you count as your skillset was once listed on the second list, too.

@duponin I would feel safe AND want them. A lot of valuable footage for funny memories or learning lessons. If I or others could rewatch how our mistakes unfold, I would hope we could learn to not repeat them. A little like the way sports teams review past games. Plus, our actions being memorialized is a great incentive to make them good.

@deutrino That was my first car! Built like a tank, could actually get my hand in the engine to work, yet still somehow got 22 MPG on average.

@coagain1 I wrote my local radio host Ross Kaminsky on 630 K how about this and he is talking about it today.

Heidi is enjoying her cousin’s birthday party! Her turn next week🙂

Helped my neighbor frame his roof today. Not bad for 3 guys who don’t do it as a day job.

@coagain1 This is not a surprise and there is always this constant growth of government and bureaucracy in our lives. The pendulum has to swing the other way sometime. Not everything is owned by the government(very little should be) and they do not have full authority of our lives. People must be free to raise and grow their own food as they see fit. Government might have helped in the past, but now we have access to all the info we need. Hands off!
