@chiasm @jordan I’m not sure that we have anything better than polls to help us figure out what people think, but I’m not very confident in their results. You’re probably right about the vaccine, but I have a hard time blaming anyone because every source of information has an agenda these days and the whole truth isn’t part of it.
@jordan @chiasm @thor Hope I didn’t miscommunicate. I wasn’t talking about Gnosticism or some secret knowledge. Christianity and the Bible are clearly public knowledge. I was talking about who and how people respond to that knowledge. You can’t really ignore that the Bible talks about the elect and the called out ones. Some people simply hear and believe this stuff in the ups and downs in life, no matter how they challenge it.
@chiasm @thor A chunk of encrypted data(maybe reality) can statistically look like random noise, but to those who have the key to decode it, it can be interpreted. The parables of Jesus were also designed for an intended audience. If God decides who holds the keys, there’s nothing anyone can do but ask. Thanks for doing your research and soul searching before trying to reach a conclusion. I will beg that God reveal himself in your life, He is good.
@chiasm @thor That is the rub for most people, but there are many(myself included) who observe that God does make a difference in the world presently. Fair enough if some attribute that to mental illness, because I have seen that, especially in those who try to formulate God and attempt some false sense of control in the situation. If God has made his actions untestable in the world, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t having an affect.
It takes a bit of hunting to find the folks you're looking for and a lot of good people seem to vanish. I might take the occasional break, but I don't plan on going anywhere. Here's a few people that sort of fit into that category. Not sure if there is some way to join groups on the Fedi.

My niece was baptized last night! The whole family got together to be there and celebrate. She wrestled with a lot of questions and prayer before making her choice. She’s not even 11 yet and I’ve seen more personal growth in her than most adults. Most of my family wants to get baptized in their mid-late teens. What is your experience?
@maleza Looking great, you guys are more capable than you know! Just taking a few breaks out of the wind can help keep the spirits up.
@MisterRogersSnapped Well said. America was founded on true wisdom and a belief and acknowledgement of God. Those folks chose to fight for what was good and begged for God's help. He came through. The answer to all of these problems is for us to do the same today. Steel your mind and master yourself to reach your true potential. Rely on God to make a way as Christ showed us. Be a slave to no one and nothing.

Was thinking about and trying to find an old book about polymers I read as a kid with no luck. Did find one of the projects it mentioned, the Monsanto House. DDT, Agent Orange, Roundup. They were the first to mass produce LED's too. They took a lot of risk, did a lot of good, and made some nasty mistakes. People only seem to remember the worst in things.
