Don’t worry too much about politics, but remember the one who is “far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.”
Ephesians 1:21 (WEB)

My friend Billy got a cool trail cam picture at the hunting club. That land in NC is almost magical. Whenever I would go hunting as a kid, my teacher said I would be zoned out a few days afterward in thought. Need to get back.

Was hoping there was more to this, but still a great piece of music.

I just wanted to have a live playlist on a host computer stream A/V to a client iPad(VLC) on the LAN. Why is that so hard? I’ve spent a chunk of the day messing with this to no avail.

@chiasm @jordan As for the mistreatment of the poor and marginalized, I disagree. Almost all of the organizations that I know of that help these groups are in fact Christian based. I suspect that people in these roles in government have a skew towards being Christian too. I’m not sure how I could prove all of this though. No one takes polls if they can help it.

@chiasm @jordan I’m not sure that we have anything better than polls to help us figure out what people think, but I’m not very confident in their results. You’re probably right about the vaccine, but I have a hard time blaming anyone because every source of information has an agenda these days and the whole truth isn’t part of it.

@jordan @chiasm @thor Hope I didn’t miscommunicate. I wasn’t talking about Gnosticism or some secret knowledge. Christianity and the Bible are clearly public knowledge. I was talking about who and how people respond to that knowledge. You can’t really ignore that the Bible talks about the elect and the called out ones. Some people simply hear and believe this stuff in the ups and downs in life, no matter how they challenge it.

@chiasm @thor A chunk of encrypted data(maybe reality) can statistically look like random noise, but to those who have the key to decode it, it can be interpreted. The parables of Jesus were also designed for an intended audience. If God decides who holds the keys, there’s nothing anyone can do but ask. Thanks for doing your research and soul searching before trying to reach a conclusion. I will beg that God reveal himself in your life, He is good.

@chiasm @thor That is the rub for most people, but there are many(myself included) who observe that God does make a difference in the world presently. Fair enough if some attribute that to mental illness, because I have seen that, especially in those who try to formulate God and attempt some false sense of control in the situation. If God has made his actions untestable in the world, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t having an affect.

It takes a bit of hunting to find the folks you're looking for and a lot of good people seem to vanish. I might take the occasional break, but I don't plan on going anywhere. Here's a few people that sort of fit into that category. Not sure if there is some way to join groups on the Fedi.

Hanging out with Jim Daly with Focus on the Family and a bunch of other great folks tonight for Colorado Christian Services. Great organization that has been placing children, including my wife, in loving homes since 1963!

@jordan31@theres.life There are a lot of furries out there. I personally don’t want to live in an echo chamber and as long people who are different remain mostly civil, I don’t have a problem. It is hard to love your neighbor if all ties are severed. Light of the world right?
