Worker bees and queen bees share identical DNA. Workers live a couple weeks, but queens live a couple years. The only difference between the two is how their genes are expressed and it's because of diet. Even if you have a lot of family history of disease, diet and lifestyle are huge and you can control those. Eat your veggies!

You folks remember the rotary un-smart phone? Justine Haupt is behind them and other cool projects and runs skysedge.com
Justine has been absolutely amazing with her persistence and transparency while trying to fulfill orders. I think she might actually be killing herself with the stress of increasing red tape etc. It is inspiring to see someone with so much integrity, but I worry for her.

@casjo2022 Not The Expanse, though I’m in book 6 right now. It was the series Upload.

Thinking about an ice house walk-in-fridge for the future house. We get such crazy cold swings here that it makes a lot of sense. Any ideas? Considering a bunch of Home Depot buckets full of water in a super insulated room. When it gets below freezing, blast outside air around the buckets.

Not a potato chip, not a potato wedge. Something in between and they’re great!

@nickchuckwalter Nope. There was something like a data terminal with an interface like a ring holder that connected to the rings.

This is driving us nuts. There was some movie/series that featured ring-shaped storage/authentication devices. These were worn and we have this vague notion that the characters were trying to swipe/swap them. Can't remember what this was and any help would be appreciated.

@stevelord @matthew He won’t tell me how he did it, but admits it was wrong. He didn’t do it out of necessity. Probably bribed an apathetic worker is my guess.

@stevelord @matthew I know someone who got free breakfast at a hotel near his house for 2 years because he could. Whenever theft is normalized, people start to believe that they are entitled to other people’s things and “need” gets redefined. People are worth more than physical things and theft is wrong. Buying it for them is a good solution.

@atyh Not sure why the web of trust concept never got mainstream adoption. Maybe AI will bring that back.
