@Gina I think women in many professions have to bring more to the table than their male peers. I see politics in the US to still be there somewhat. The women you do see often have to be more extreme in their views to get elected and in a way that doesn't help make them relatable to many as a representative.
@Gina I think we're ready for a female president, but admittedly the bar would have to be higher than for a man; however, that is still pretty low if you've been paying attention. I would rather the first female president be elected in, rather than take over from VP. That seems like it would detract a bit from it all.
@sheogorath There's a lot of media that would have been lost if not for pirate fans. I copy all my physical media to NAS. I have boxes of DVDs that stay out of sight in storage. Copyright laws have been perverted and the goalpost is always changing. Always let your conscience be your guide.
@ZGoldenReport Looks a little like Firefox.
First Sunday back inside, hope I can keep everything working!

Friendly reminder: "X as a service" is just a misleading corporate euphemism for "pay forever for not owning it".
"Software as a service" actually means "pay forever for not owning the software".
"Games as a service" actually means "pay forever for not owning games".
"Infrastructure as a service" actually means "pay forever for not owning the hardware".
And so on.
There is no "cloud", it's just other people's computers
@EJonsan @HealthRanger Welcome to the Fediverse!
@normand @retiredguru@social.linux.pizza I'll take another look at FreeCAD. I do use MeshLab almost daily. I miss the good documentation back in those days. I cut my teeth on GW-BASIC and messed around with AutoCAD 2.5 in the early 90's. I didn't have access to newer machines, and in a way I'm thankful. I got into the VRML craze. Good times! I wish I could explain to my 15 YO daughter how exciting of a time it was and how fast things changed.
