@blueberry I just noticed @Citizenzibb was gone, was going to ask them something...kinda sad. You keep in touch?

@abrahms That's funny, I'm building our house and our pantry has a Tudor arch as well. It's hard to have too much pantry. What size is yours? Ours is 6'x11"

@stevelord So are the custom Retrozer0s you're making use the ESP32? If so, what kind of power consumption have you seen when running all out? I see that it can go into deep sleep down to 17μW. Also this might be an ignorant question, but if we're talking simple dedicated uses, how hard would it be to forgo an OS all together?

Eating some lentils for lunch and was curious. Will make room in the garden for these.

@stevelord Thanks, I will read it. No need to apologize, he seems like a knowledgeable guy, just a bit off-topic and dramatic. Getting people to think about how they use computers and getting them to understand them is a admirable goal and probably the only way out of the mess of modern computing. I appreciate the help.

@ajroach42 I got to visit my first Fry's in San Jose about a decade ago. That place was awesome, decked out like a Mayan pyramid or something.

@stevelord @paoloredaelli I don't know the answer to that question, but would like to know the answer. I don't know what AmigaOS is capable of because I only got to play with one briefly at a friend's house.

@stevelord I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that CP/M runs in 64k of RAM. I don't think Linux from scratch or any of the BSDs come close to this. I messed with computers in the 80's but had forgotten how little they had to work with, and they were quite responsive. I'm going to try CP/M on bare metal on a Pi next week. I want to dig into this stuff a bit because it is really neat. I might ask for some help.

@Proverbs31wife@dingdash.com Also, if your doctor agrees, I recommend making hibiscus tea. Drink about a quart a day. I really helped to drop my BP. I put 1 tbsp of these flowers/quart of water.

I like to throw a couple pinches of this in too.

I just boil 3 quarts at a time for 5 mins in a big pot and pour it through strainer into a pitcher. Our food choices can be at least as effective and a lot safer than many meds. What do you eat?

@Proverbs31wife@dingdash.com I get why you are suspicious of doctors and hospitals. Medical errors were(before covid) the 3rd leading cause of death in the US. Still, emergency heart related stuff has advanced greatly in just the past decade. There is a good chance that they will save your life if you are experiencing angina or precursors to a heart attack. Don't let the bureaucracy with covid deter you from getting treatment. Go back and let the doctors find out if you are in danger.

@lo We can do better. Still, I think my favorite to shoot is a nice bolt-action .270

I just woke up from a terrible nightmare. If you were to ask me what I was afraid of, I would have had a hard time answering you before. Spiders, snakes on a plane, clowns? No, I was just about to be inaugurated as the POTUS on the 20th. Having the weight of so much responsibility just thrust upon me, unexpectedly, was absolutely terrifying. Pray for our leaders, they need it. It really made me think about the gravity of the Bible verse about Jesus, "and the government will be on His shoulders".

@blueberry Looks like it might be easy to break the key...

@lo I've always thought we should focus on growing or synthesizing cleaner fuels. One of my back burner projects is to make a steam car like the one Prichard built in the early 70's. Might pick your brain when the time comes to start.
