Shout-out(again) to @Gargron, the ActivityPub devs, and @eurasierboy for making my journey in the Fediverse possible! I know these tools don't just make themselves.
@sinbach Good! This might wake people up to the amount of power they have given these companies. It will fuel demand for better companies and devices that serve the user. This, at its core, is a battle for the notion of private property. Do you own your phone/computer? Look into Librem 5 or PinePhone. You own these devices and they are more than just smart phones. These things are still in their infancy and need your support to be more than niche products.

@DHeadshot @kelbot No worries, I appreciate the effort.
@kelbot Maybe some kind of ticker for RSS or similar.
@kelbot It looks better than decent. If you had some kind of comms tab for, email, chat, and something like calcurses, that would be even cooler. Do you know if anyone has made like a hybrid terminal/GUI? If I had a panel to view pictures or videos, life would be complete.
@FemboHooters@mastodon.social @Gargron Kurt Russell version is the best.
@Gina It's really not that big of a deal. I remember we had a group assignment to try to estimate loss of life if someone nuked Washington. By the end of the convo most of the folks were entertaining the idea that it might be better for the country as a whole...I try not to worry about things I can't change.
@lo Absolutely true on all counts. Election integrity goes beyond party lines and has to be insured. I think that the voting machines definitely need to be audited because the statistics point to possible manipulation.
@lo Not Colorado🙂? My neighbors are cool, but about 1/4 mile away. My "ranch" is under 20 acres though, but good enough for me. I accidentally trespassed while on a hike this weekend onto another ranch and it was like Rivendell. You have to be born into that, because no one will ever sell it.
@blueberry I just noticed @Citizenzibb was gone, was going to ask them something...kinda sad. You keep in touch?
@abrahms That's funny, I'm building our house and our pantry has a Tudor arch as well. It's hard to have too much pantry. What size is yours? Ours is 6'x11"
@stevelord So are the custom Retrozer0s you're making use the ESP32? If so, what kind of power consumption have you seen when running all out? I see that it can go into deep sleep down to 17μW. Also this might be an ignorant question, but if we're talking simple dedicated uses, how hard would it be to forgo an OS all together?
@tymektt @MaryMamuzich Congratulations! Praying for all of you!
Eating some lentils for lunch and was curious. Will make room in the garden for these.

@stevelord Thanks, I will read it. No need to apologize, he seems like a knowledgeable guy, just a bit off-topic and dramatic. Getting people to think about how they use computers and getting them to understand them is a admirable goal and probably the only way out of the mess of modern computing. I appreciate the help.
