So could 14-15 YO's not work there before? That was not a weird age to get a job when I was that age. My daughter started working when she was 12. It was mucking out a couple dozen horse stalls every day, but she was glad to have a way to earn $.

@acnewberry A lot of K-Marts were closing when I was in college, so my roommate bought the blue light from one of them to decorate our dorm room.

@Tacos @Dhowjen Congrats! Hope you have many years of happiness and good memories together!

@atyh NBD, not fun unless you're breaking things!

This morning in church we’re singing:
“Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere…”
We’ve got most everything cleaned up from the recent flood and repairs are ongoing.

@atyh Yeah thanks for that, a lot of OpenBSD is still a mystery, but I like its philosophy. I think it broke the cert for vger? Anyways, I used the private key to regen a cert.

"I think of Gemini as like the Haiku form for poems: yes it's highly restrictive, but the art is just in expressing yourself though the form. People coming around and protesting that haikus aren't sonnets, or that they aren't suitable for writing plays, are missing the point, IMO."

@rose_myrtle Bandit and Chilli set a pretty high bar. I don’t think my parents even knew where I was 50% of the time when I was growing up. Top notch family programming!

Very proud of my daughter for working hard in life and going against the flow of her generation. May she use her gifts and talents to honor God and do great works in the world!

@amerika @carolen I will advocate eating a whole-food plant-based diet, but you’d be better off eating a good steak than most of those science experiments.

@atyh Well they probably should be because they haven't been doing their jobs.
Have they created a more perfect union?
Established justice?
Insured domestic tranquility?
Provided for common defense? Promoted general welfare?
Done anything to secure the blessings of liberty for us and future generations?

I think it's pretty clear that they have been outright working against those goals.

@atyh That's crazy!
Here is 850 pounds (1.4%) of that to get an idea.

Every time I take my phone out of its case to clean everything, I'm amazed at two things:
1. How absolutely tiny it is and how they engineered it all together.
2. How gross humans are.

@reiver 💯 I am not very good at this. When you run into great UI/UX people basically don't notice it.
