@atyh That is a lot of audio if using opus at the bitrate of what 20kbps?

@deutrino I use Dawn dish soap on ours and scrub them with a copper mesh. You would need to scrape them hard to get to the iron.

"...the Librem 5 is getting better with age and it may well be the only #smartphone to do so. That is because we don’t invest in #obsolescence. In the opposite, our wonderful dev team is never giving up on their effort to optimize the software. After each major update, the Librem 5 gets faster and lighter on it’s hardware resources."

@james I mean, we were required to watch it, so there was an obligatory "Oh, not that again!", but I remember liking the series and the second one a little less so. I wanted to see how it stood up over time. Find any leads?

There's a ton of random, obscure stuff on the internet but for some reason I thought it might be fun to check out a series we had to watch in school called The Voyage of the Mimi. It has a theme song that will embed itself deep in your brain. IYKYK. Anyways, there are some very bad copies on YouTube and that's it. It's been mostly wiped from existence. Millions of people watched this and it seems odd that it is so unavailable.

@danie10 I've put a lot of stuff on archival paper with Optar.

Printed out the source code too.
Maybe my great grandkids will be able to ask their equivalent of ChatGPT to take this and show them what it is. Can't go wrong with physical pictures though.

Fun story. We had to replace many of these door hinges at the State Capitol a few years back. Problem was, the lead content was too high to have them made in the States. So what do you do? Fab them from China that’s what.

So could 14-15 YO's not work there before? That was not a weird age to get a job when I was that age. My daughter started working when she was 12. It was mucking out a couple dozen horse stalls every day, but she was glad to have a way to earn $.

@acnewberry A lot of K-Marts were closing when I was in college, so my roommate bought the blue light from one of them to decorate our dorm room.

@Tacos @Dhowjen Congrats! Hope you have many years of happiness and good memories together!

@atyh NBD, not fun unless you're breaking things!

This morning in church we’re singing:
“Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere…”
We’ve got most everything cleaned up from the recent flood and repairs are ongoing.

@atyh Yeah thanks for that, a lot of OpenBSD is still a mystery, but I like its philosophy. I think it broke the cert for vger? Anyways, I used the private key to regen a cert.

"I think of Gemini as like the Haiku form for poems: yes it's highly restrictive, but the art is just in expressing yourself though the form. People coming around and protesting that haikus aren't sonnets, or that they aren't suitable for writing plays, are missing the point, IMO."

@rose_myrtle Bandit and Chilli set a pretty high bar. I don’t think my parents even knew where I was 50% of the time when I was growing up. Top notch family programming!
