@MaryMamuzich How are you and are you being affected by the floods?
Another tiny yacht I love:
Trekka, just 20 feet six inches long, designed by Englishman Laurent Giles (for 50 quid) and built at the back of a fish and chips shop in Victoria, British Columbia, by a then 23-year-old John Guzwell.
Between 1955 and 1959, Guzwell sailed Trekka around the world, then wrote a classic book about it.

@mary bought me a box of 5th Avenue bars as a surprise because she knows I love them and that they are nowhere to be found in Colorado these days. She even got them shipped to an Amazon locker that was supposedly inside and out of the heat. Sadly, locker was not inside and we got a bunch of non-refundable chocolate puddles. To our shock and delight, they reconstituted almost perfectly in the refrigerator! #firstworldproblems

I'm still messing around with paper data storage because it is so practical and fascinating. If you ever want a copy of Eisenhower's D-Day speech, look no further. Just laser print it and store.

You will need this to decode it after you scan it.
A friend from college - Ned Freed has died
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ned_Freed
I graduated in 1978 from Harvey Mudd College and he was three years behind me. But I came back a couple years later to run the computer center (a VAX-11/780) and saw him graduate.
I gave him some software products to help kick start Innosoft - the company he started with a couple other students. Eventually sold to Sun / Oracle.
He was a coauthor of the MIME spec used in billions of computers today.
@neauoire I’m sure you’ve heard of this tech, have you ever had any success with anything like this?
