I would encourage everyone to talk to your doc and try a plant-based diet for a few weeks. Do some blood panels and fitness tests before and after. I’ve been back on it for a couple weeks now and feel great. Today I moved 12 tons of wet, compacted mulch all over a 2 acre property by hand in 3 hours. My brother-in-laws, who are fit and go to the gym, looked beat after they finished their piles. I felt like I could have done it two more times.

Shout out to one of the best scenes and movies in the last 10 years.

My NAS is getting full and I need to upgrade the drives soon. Many are over 7 years old and going strong. I'm amazed that 22TB drives are a thing now and that an individual has long been able to have more movies in a computer than a whole movie rental store in times past. If you can imagine putting DVD movie cases on a shelf, think about filling a shelf about 200 feet long. That's how much data fits on one consumer drive now.

JRR Tolkien wrote in an English rooted in the Britain of 100 years ago. For that reason we're starting to lose touch with the language used in the book.

This is a thread of words and references that I have noticed in my current read-through, which I think might easily be misunderstood.

Wouldn’t it be wild if Titan didn’t fail on its own, but rather was snagged by a squid or whale?

Got a book yesterday. I really don’t have time for this stuff, but it looks fun and is interesting and beautiful. I try to fill the library with things that might pique Heidi’s interest, should she ever stumble upon them.

Adelle and my mom having fun! Mom tried to convince Bunny, the old mule, that running was fun and that she had a chance!

I'm pretty sure @mary knows what bookmarks are, but hey, I downloaded the video for Heidi.😂

Just hearing about Bruce Willis having dementia. That stinks, I wouldn't wish brain disease on anyone. I noticed that he was taking a lot of B-movie roles in recent years and now it makes sense if he was trying to do what he loved while he could.

@mary and I were talking last night and we think there’s room for a Dread Pirate Roberts series.

I've been pretty disciplined in sticking to a whole-food plant-based diet this week and, just like always, I feel so much better.

Yesterday I went to go see one of our survey supplier's and their newly built shop. I'm friends with them, but haven't stopped by in person in a few months. I told my intern that he had to meet Kris, their hilarious and awesome receptionist. When we got there, there was a new face at the front desk and I asked if Kris was off.
"No, she's no longer with us. She had a heart attack.", the new lady said.
"Oh wow, is she OK?", I asked.
"No, she didn't make it. I'm sorry.", she replied.
Just like that, someone special in my life was gone. Had I ever talked to her about Jesus? There is an urgency about the Gospel and we (the Church) have been put specifically where we are to be a light in this world.
