@emelie Good on you! Recurve bows are a lot more fun and less forgiving. The Astral CORE looks like a fine bow. I used to hunt with an 80lb Hoyt compound bow and could hit milk jug caps pretty consistently at 50 yards. Shot a deer once and he jumped at the noise then stopped to look at me and trotted off. Swore that I missed, but I found him not far off. Arrow went right through!

@rose_myrtle It’s funny how some of the most industrious people I know came for poor parenting. They know where bad lifestyles lead. Some of the most dead-weight people I know came from great parents. Some people fool themselves, but it’s almost cruel how little control we have over our children.

@ajroach42 Cryptocurrencies could solve this problem, but most of the industry leaders are not rising to the occasion. I’m a big fan of the Cardano network because they seem to be working in the right direction.

Was thinking about what blockchain/cryptocurrency technology might look like in a pre-electronics world. Carrier pigeons, human computers, libraries? Obviously things would be much slower, but I wonder if it would have been practical for some use cases.

@artyr3 Been meaning to take a road trip up there for about 20 years. Going to make it happen after I get this house built.
