We shouldn't live our lives as if our choices have no significance; however, we would also do well(fellow Christians) to understand the fact that God is in control. He can pull this car over at any moment and set things right.

Don't forget that no matter what damage people do to one another or the environment, no matter how corrupt our governments are, God is able to right the ship. This is His world after all. We are merely stewards for a short season and knowing this is quite comforting.

@atyh They do give you a trial period, but yes, it is an energy hog. Do you have some kind of cell data plan now?

Got some lamb loin chops(1/2 the price of the New York strip I got my wife) and cooked them on our smoker for the first time today. They were the best I've ever had. They didn't need the mint sauce I made and it was a little tangy. I used what I had on hand: dried spearmint, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. How do you guys make mint sauce? First time for me.

3 down on the worship team this morning for various reasons. I might have to sing if this keeps up. Say a prayer for us!

@Sophistifunk Well, I was thinking about weight, longevity, and coolness factor. I wonder how much difference there would be in two finely tuned systems?

@Sophistifunk Someone more capable than myself should build aftermarket jet turbine gensets that can replace the batteries, while keeping the superior electric powertrain. Use green ammonia or whatever fuel you want. Plus, they sound futuristic.

@mary and I usually send the pups back and forth to each other when we’re about 1/4 mile apart. They just ran about 2 miles in 8 minutes and they are hanging on my every word for the signal to keep going!

Ok, shopping done. Didn't opt for 128GB of RAM lol. Spent less than I did for this computer, especially considering inflation, and the new one will be better in almost every way by over an order of magnitude. It probably won't be able to open a web page in 5 years.

It's been almost 14 years, so I'd say that's a fair run.

MOBO is getting long in the tooth, one of the fan plugs stopped working and I'm concerned that it might just die soon. Been putting off shopping long enough. 128GB too much RAM? VM's, CAD, and ZFS eat plenty, but I don't use Chrome.

@atyh I think it boils down to the fact that a much greater percentage of kids don’t believe in a God who will judge them for their actions and that their actions will have eternal consequences. Also, kids seem to be jaded at much younger ages and have a very negative outlook on life. There is very little real teaching of morality, and even if there is, it has no teeth without faith in a higher power.
