After about a year of proclaiming the benefits of espousing the Fediverse to friends on the right and left, it feels like a kick to the groin to watch the exodus to Parler. I'm still laughing at FB and Twitter though.

Anyone else remember this? I haven't really ever trusted our election system when numbers are close enough that a couple of malcontents can alter the results, and I don't know if any wrongdoing/accidents took place. I just want a fair election.

Just powered through 17hrs of intense CAD work through the night. I think I would be less tired if I had just walked the whole time. Once I get done with this conference call, I don't even want to look at a computer for a few days...

Friendly reminder: "X as a service" is just a misleading corporate euphemism for "pay forever for not owning it".

"Software as a service" actually means "pay forever for not owning the software".

"Games as a service" actually means "pay forever for not owning games".

"Infrastructure as a service" actually means "pay forever for not owning the hardware".

And so on.

I'm still using OpenBSD from time to time and appreciating the thought put into it. There are several solutions for forwarding sound with X11, but I was curious if any of you folks have one that you prefer?
